HiBy Music Player Full-Spectrum Application Guide (Part I)

Due to recent firmware upgrades, the functionality of HiBy music players is continuously being optimized and expanded. To help users operate more conveniently, this article will provide a detailed introduction to the multi-scenario features of the player in the latest firmware version, using the HiBy R4 music player as an example.

1.Direct connection to headphones

Since the LO (Line Out) and PO (Phone Out) outputs of the HiBy R4 share the same 3.5mm and 4.4mm headphone jacks, when using headphones with the R4, you need to ensure that the headphone jack is set to PO output. To do this, go to Settings - Audio Settings - Line Out Settings - and select Phone Out. (By default, it is usually set to Phone Out.)

2.Connecting Bluetooth headphones for outdoor trips

Settings - Bluetooth  - Pair with New Device

to connect Bluetooth headphones and listen to music.

3.Home audio system connection

1). Connecting to audio equipment via LO line output

Go to Settings - Audio Settings - Line Out Settings - Select Line Out. Both the 4.4mm and 3.5mm jacks support line output. The image below shows the setup of [HiBy R4 + CR06 + Genelec speakers].

2)Connecting to audio equipment via Type-C coaxial output

The Type-C port supports charging and file transfer functions, and it also serves as a coaxial output port, plug-and-play.

4.DAC function connection

1). Wired DAC

Go to Settings - Work Mode - USB DAC Reception Mode, and connect your phone via C to C to use the phone as a decoder and headphone amplifier.

2). Bluetooth DAC

Go to Settings - Work Mode - Bluetooth Reception Mode, and connect via Bluetooth to your phone to use it as a Bluetooth DAC.
